Being an itinerary creation company Victoria Discovers is always telling people “where to go”. Though we always leave travel arrangements down to the individual. This can prove to be problematic for those without access to a car that wish to experience some of Victoria’s hidden gems that are away from the crowds or public transport.
We were delighted to discover Explore Australia Tours . A new tour company that has been created to provide day trips from the city to some of the state’s lesser known locations. Victoria Discovers were invited to experience their Mornington Peninsula Sightseeing and Bay Cruise tour. And Wow what a tour it was!!!!!
Our day began at 9.00am when we were picked up from a convenient CBD location in a brand new 21 seater mini bus, which was both spacious and comfortable. Perfect for a days exploring, so we set off in pursuit of our adventure…
Our first stop was some of the world renowned bathing boxes at Mt. Martha beach. Here we were given an insight into local history and culture by our fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide.
Next we went in pursuit of some wild Kangaroos at Highfield, which we were lucky enough to find in their masses enjoying their natural habitat.
Our next destination was to a very different encounter on the Peninsula. We ventured onto the back beaches to go in pursuit of London Bridge. An incredible natural rock formation created by the power of the wind and the waves.
Our next stop was to take in Millionaires Walk. A footpath the rich of the Peninsula would rather you didn’t know about as it goes right through their Bay view gardens
After seeing the Bay from the clifftops, it was now time to see it from the water (without getting wet). We boarded the Searoad Ferry for a return trip to view the Mornington Peninsula from the far side of the Bay.
And it was here that we were treated to lunch which wad a culinary delight, showcasing local produce.
After such a sumptuous lunch and breathtaking views, it was time to head to St Andrew’s Brewery for a tasting panel of their award winning beers.
Our final destination was to soar like a bird from a gondola on The Eagle at Arthur’s Seat.
Before being met at the bottom to be taken back to the CBD to arrive back at 6.00pm
This well thought out, planned, delivered and impeccable tour provides a full on itinerary without the feeling of being rushed. Providing a fantastic sample of the many delights if the Mornington Peninsula at exceptional value.
