Victoria Discovers was invited to experience Spooktober at Luna Park. We have divided our review into two sections. Haunted Fairytales, which is aimed at children over 5 years old and Extreme Phobia, which is aimed towards adults and children over 12 years of age.
This review is based on our night time experience of Extreme Phobia aimed at adults and children over the age of 12.
Seeing Luna Park all lit up at night is always a magnificent sight. However, when you add Spooktober to the iconic theme park everything suddenly becomes so much scarier…
It feels as though you are entering an episode of Scooby Doo as you enter the dark fun fair surrounded by scary decorations and actors in costumes that are instructed to scare. As the Victoria Discovers team stood outside Extreme Phobia waiting for our turn to enter, we could hear ear piercing screams coming from inside. We had no idea what to expect, but whatever it was it didn’t sound very nice…
This special edition Halloween feature has been specifically designed to terrify all those who enter. All of the effects have been creatively choreographed in order to disrupt all of your senses and leave you completely at the mercy of whatever may or may not approach you. Victoria Discovers can not stress enough that this is NOT for the faint hearted!!!
After our traumatic, yet highly entertaining, encounter we took advantage of the combo pass. A wristband permitted us to have unlimited access to all of the Luna Park rides till the end of the session (11.30pm). It doesn’t get much better than watching the sunset at the top of a Ferris wheel.
