Victoria Discovers was invited by our friends at Wildlife Coast Cruises to attend one of their Wilson’s Prom Whale Cruises. We thought it was going to be good, however we didn’t expect it to be sensational !!!!!

Victoria Discovers arrived in the large free car park of Welshpool Boat Ramp to board our vessel, the Brianna Lee, for our 6 hour whale watching cruise. 6 hours may seem like a long time however it felt as though it was over in an instant. I guess time flys when you are having fun.

The good sized ship provided plenty of seating, both inside and outside, as well as two good sized clean toilets. One of which also included baby changing facilities.

It’s the small, finer details which really makes Wildlife Coast Cruises stand out from the rest. Including a well stocked on board bar selling a range of drinks and snacks.

But also a completely complementary drinks stand. Providing self service cold water, tea and coffee for the duration of the cruise.

Lunch as well as morning and afternoon snacks are included in the price of the trip.

We very quickly became settled on our vessel and set sail to see the wonders that mother nature wished to show us this day. And what a show she put on for us!!!!!

The sensational coastline and islands of Wilson’s Prom are home to hundreds of different kinds of wildlife. Including a colony of seals, shown below.

We had different types of dolphin pods swim right next to the boat, as if racing us and putting on their own displays.

Though the stars of the show were the pods of Humpback Whales. They appeared to be as fascinated with us, as we were with them.

With this being a wildlife tour, there are no guarantees that you will be able to see any wildlife. Though Victoria Discovers is delighted to report that we encountered 18 whales, 10 dolphins, countless birds and seals and a penguin. The younger guests on board were also permitted to try their hand at steering the boat.

Whether you are a wildlife enthusiast, a want to be sailor or just looking for an experience of a lifetime. Victoria Discovers can’t recommend strongly enough setting sail with Wildlife Coast Cruises. An absolutely incredible experience that should be encountered by every person living or visiting Victoria.
