Victoria Discovers was invited to check out Kinglake Forest Adventure, an outdoor haven of climbing, ziplines, mountain biking and bushwalks. Which caters for children as young as 2, right up to the young at heart.
After parking in the large free car park, the Victoria Discovers team followed the well posted signs through the forest in order to register. There are many packages to choose from, including a balance bike pump track.
There is an agility course including two ziplines aimed at children aged 2 years to 6 years.
Victoria Discovers had registered to take part in the Treetops and the Biking which allowed us 2 hours for each session. Our first port of call was to be fitted with our helmets and harnesses. We were then double checked by staff before we were able to enter the course. It is worth noting that children must be at least 5 years old to take part in the Treetops.
Once secured, we made our way into the Treetops for the ziplines
The Treetops included climbing challenges;
And the highest game of tug of war that we have ever encountered. Be warned, this is not for the faint hearted (but is great fun).
Once our two hour Treetops session had ended, we headed back to grab our cycle helmets and bikes to take off on our 2 hour mountain bike forest adventure.
There are a range of bikes and sizes including shotgun seats for younger children to ride with an adult.
There are 3 tracks to choose from which each have a different difficulty rating. Each track heads through the incredible forest and gave a sense of joy and freedom that only mountain biking can give.
Kinglake Forest Adventure is one of the few leisure activities in Victoria that is able to cater for toddlers to teenages and adults of all fitness abilities.
If your looking for an outdoor family adventure with kids of all ages, Kinglake Forest Adventure is the place for you.
