Victoria Discovers were invited to step inside the Chinese Museum in Melbourne’s China Town to experience an education and adventure of history, culture, tradition and wonderment.
The Chinese Museum is set over 5 floors with visitors advised to start at the top and work your way back down. Please note there is an elevator for those requiring walking aids, making the Museum accessible to all.
The top floor transported us to ancient China with replicas of technological advances created in China.
And after life rituals of some of its residents.
As you travel from different levels, there are countless artefacts and information including the Chinese migration tp Victoria for the Gold Rush.
Though the star of the show has to be the 64 meter long Chinese Dragon which makes an appearance through the streets of Melbourne every Chinese New Year.
The Chinese Museum should be on the bucket list for every Melbourne visitor and local alike. Victoria Discovers couldn’t help to feel a sense of pride that whatever our heritage, ‘I am, You are, We are Australian’
